From a friend who has left the practise The service from this practice has over recent years declined from that of a group of busy GPS who nevertheless gave a sympathetic, sensitive and compassionate service to that of busy professionals too concerned about their own practice issues and budgets, unable to listen effectively, consider the patients medical history and current context. Perhaps the practice can deal with the routine, physical, minor medical problems but their interest and knowledge about the more complex, mental health and emotional wellbeing issues seems limited. The latter is so important and likely to affect physical health/vulnerability.
I went to register at the surgery after moving into the area recently. I found the receptionist extremely rude and unhelpful. The female staff member advised that she did not think that I lived within the right boundary to register. When I queried this she then advised that there were other surgeries closer to my house ( in Burscough) and asked why I specifically wanted to register at the surgery. Unclear why I needed to explain this, however it made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Very disappointed with her poor attitude and unwelcoming approach to a potential new client and local resident. Unlikely to use this service or recommend
Staff are amazing . Doctors are lovely and I can always get an appointment if I ring in the morning . Highly recommend .
Staff and Doctors are lovely and helpful but booking an appointment is a nightmare
As GP's go this one is very good. Sometimes you have to wait past your time but that is expected. Only had 1 or 2 very long waits in my time here. Staff are friendly and helpful.
